At CCCS, we encourage our students to make healthy choices through an exceptional Health and Physical Education program. In the Health program, we discuss topics such as nutrition, drugs and alcohol, violence, and growth and development. We foster a safe and open learning environment in order to encourage student growth. We are currently working with the American Heart Association in an effort to promote stroke awareness and prevention. In the Physical Education program students are introduced to new and exciting games and activities to help promote lifelong fitness. We measure fitness and strength through a variety of FitnessGram assessments which are given at the beginning and end of each trimester. Students must work together in cooperative activities to help encourage teamwork and interaction. The overall goal of the Health and Physical Education program is to start a strong foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
